Highlights of UK Rural Skills 2018 AGM
This Wednesday 3rd October 2018 we held our annual general meeting (AGM), where we were fortunate to be joined by many of our members, as well as those looking to become members and/or interested in some of the new and existing software products created by UKRS sister company, Facilitate IT Ltd.
The day kicked off with UKRS' marketing exec Richard Hilson introducing the recent UKRS website redesign - demonstrating some of its key new functionality including GPS UKRS member searches, saved favourites functionality, a new reviews system, as well as a member message board.
UKRS Director Lesley Barr followed, outlining UKRS' accreditation services, along with outlining UKRS' plans to move towards gaining awarding organisation status.
Before lunch, Director Jo Bruce introduced Facilitate Training Manager and Facilitate Training Needs Analysis (TNA) tool, two new pieces of software which have been developed by UKRS' sister company Facilitate IT Ltd. Facilitate Training Manager empowers businesses of any size to track and manage their entire staff training requirements and history. Meanwhile, the Facilitate Training Needs Analyser (TNA) tool helps business managers to optimise their workforce and staff for peak performance and productivity by arming them with the information required to ensure they deliver the right training to upskill their employees.
Facilitate's Training Manager and Training Needs Analyser (TNA) are part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development - delivered by the Norfolk Local Action Group through the 'LEADER' approach. Their Manager Andy Thorpe was able to attend the meeting and see for himself both products now they are complete.
After lunch Jo Bruce went on to provide updates on Facilitate's established software products - Facilitate CRM and Facilitate Web Builder which work optimally when combined as Facilitate Suite. Facilitate Suite is the complete business management system for training providers, allowing them to save time and money using one system to seamlessly manage and promote their training provider business and the courses they run.
Finally Richard Hilson closed the day with some informative guidance on how to optimise member's websites and UKRS profiles for better ranking with Google, as well as some social media tips.
The day ended with a Q & A session, and we're delighted to say, some lovely positive praise of the work that we are doing.
Many thanks to all of our members who could make the meeting - we hope to see you all again next year.
