UK Rural Skills reaches milestone 20,000 issued certificates

This week UK Rural Skills issued its 20,000th training certificate since launching in September 2015. That represents an average of around 14 trainees receiving UK Rural Skills certified, accredited courses each day.

When shaping the business, UK Rural Skills key aim was to increase rural training standards through nationwide access to accredited courses - but the mission was bigger than that. Ultimately UK Rural Skills seek to help boost the UK's rural economy and enrich its communities through helping raise the efficiency and productivity of the businesses our members serve. To know that we have touched around 14 people across the country each day since launching gives us an enormous sense of pride and is a key indicator of the successful delivery of our mission.

Director Jo Bruce said "The entire UK Rural Skills project has given me an enormous amount of satisfaction, and news of our 20,000th certificate fills me with pride. To be involved at the inception, taking on board training providers thoughts and comments and thinking about how we could help the industry as a whole has been extremely rewarding. It is not often in your life you have the opportunity to help make a difference and I genuinely feel we are making a contribution towards enriching the rural communities we serve. I'm so pleased to see that other UKRS members are now sharing that vision. I couldn't be happier with the progress this membership has made over the last 4 years. The figures speak for themselves."

Perhaps more importantly, with an ever growing increase in UKRS membership, the figures are set to rise - helping the organisation drive further forward with our mission, reaching further corners of the nation in delivering the very best quality assured training.

Congratulations to UKRS training provider member, Hill Holt Wood, the issuer of our 20,000th certificate to one of their trainees attending the 'Introduction to Ecological Survey - Woodland' course which we recently accredited for them. We thank you and all our members for your achievements which help to put UKRS on the map!
