This training course by Dr Andy Scarlett (Scarlett Research Ltd) aims to provide trainees with an awareness, appreciation and practical understanding of: • UK road & safety legislative requirements relating to tractor & trailer braking systems • Typical agricultural tractor-trailer braking system construction, configuration and means of operation (including hydraulic and pneumatic systems) • Key braking system components, their roles, shortfalls and how to upgrade them • Desirable braking system features to look for on new and secondhand vehicles • How to service and maintain agricultural trailer & trailed equipment braking systems
