All Terrain (ATV) and Utility Type Vehicles (UTV)

This training course aims to give learners the knowledge, understanding and basic skills in the safe operation of All Terrain Vehicles and Utility Type Vehicles. It covers the hazards and risks involved with driving these vehicles and how to comply with health and safety legislation. This course also covers carrying loads, driving on the road oand driving ATVs or utility vehicles (UTV) that allow passengers. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements and is assessed against documented and appropriate criteria to demonstrate competence The course duration may vary depending on the ability and previous experience of the trainees. This must be assessed prior to attendance, and documented with justification for choices, and agreed with all parties.
