This training course aims to give existing qualified ATV operatives knowledge, understanding and advanced skills in the safe operation of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV), and the ability to deliver these skills to trainees. It introduces potential instructors to the hazards and risks involved with driving ATVs and to comply with health and safety legislation to ensure they have the ability to deliver an established lesson to trainees. The length of training will be 5 days. Within these 5 days the potential instructors will receive instruction from current ATV instructors for 2 days, they will then be the instructor for 2 days delivering all objectives. The 5th day will consist of winch operations and self recovery. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements and a course exam will be held at the beginning of the week to ensure the potential instructor has the underpinning knowledge required from pre-course reading materials.
