Banksman

This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic practical skills in directing and guiding the movement of plant machinery. The standard can apply to any type of mobile plant or equipment, whether used for excavating, extracting, receiving or transporting loads, irrespective of whether it is free steering or in a tracked, railed or guided system. The standard includes elements of planning, communications and use of hand signals to complete the task. Please note: - This does not cover lifting and slings, this is a separate standard. There is also a separate standard for those just requiring Banksman awareness.
