Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy

This is a rigorous and thorough course in Canine Hydrotherapy that aligns with Ofqual Level Descriptors for Level 3. Through detailed guided online learning, online lectures and in-person workshops and self-study, preparation and presentation of case studies and the application of practical skills, trainees will cover: Canine Hydrotherapy Theory; First Aid for Canine Hydrotherapy; Anatomy, Physiology and Biomechanics for Canine Hydrotherapy; Orthopaedic Conditions for Canine Hydrotherapy; Neurological Conditions for Canine Hydrotherapy; Water Management for Hydrotherapy Environments; Professional and Ethical Working; Personal and Professional Development; and Practical Training in Canine Hydrotherapy (both Underwater Treadmill and Pool based). This course has been designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to become a specialist hydrotherapist in the Canine Veterinary field, including both pool and treadmill therapy. Following successful completion of this course, Learners could progress into employment as a canine hydrotherapist at a centre with both a pool and aquatic treadmill, further education in the animal therapy sector.
