This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in administering first aid effectively in line with current practices. This two day Requalification training course is designed for people who have already qualified in the three day First Aid at Work course which is due for its three yearly renewal. The initial three day training course is designed for people who have a certain responsibility at work in a more hazardous or high risk environment or in the voluntary sector. The course aims to provide the learner the knowledge, understanding and skills to feel confident in providing First Aid in an Emergency Situation that may involve various illness and injuries. It introduces trainees to the application of first aid in emergency situations and to respond promptly and appropriately to a range of situations and incidents in order to preserve life and protect casualties until specialist aid is available. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
