This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in maintaining good health and safety practices in the workplace. It provides trainees with the competence to take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their work and to co-operate with their employer in order to comply with their duties under health and safety legislation. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training is theory based.
