
This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in working at heights, ladder safety, harness safety/fall arrest systems & various attachments, emergency procedures including aerial rescue, use of a stretcher and highlighting the effects of suspension syncope. It introduces trainees to the hazards and risks including precautions necessary to maintain own safety and that of other and the importance of using PPE and equipment in line with current legislation. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
