This is a Level 4 equivalent course, written to OFQUAL descriptors for this level and is designed to enhance and develop skills gained upon a regulated Level 3 Professional Dog Grooming Diploma. The learner will gain an advanced understanding of the emotional and psychological needs of dogs in the context of professional grooming, developing handling skills, confidence and competence, as well as analysing and adapting to new approaches in canine care Covering a range of topics including: Canine Behaviour & Psychology; Safe Handling & Positive Training Techniques; Consent and Choice Methods; Risk Assessing the Grooming Environment; Relationship Retention & Professional Networking; Self Care & Compassion all within the context of Professional Grooming.
