Master Molecatcher

This eLearning course is designed to help existing mole catchers to establish or improve their own working practices but is also suitable for the complete novice starting out in the field of mole control in the traditional way. The aim of this on line accreditation is designed to encourage studying and research to source the answers to a series of questions in three assignments. There is no requirement for participants to possess prior knowledge or experience of traditional practices as the course is relevant for those who are: new to traditional mole control; those wishing to improve their current practice or those looking for Continuing Professional Development to increase their learning. During the three theoretical assignments, the candidate will require to answer questions on a broad spectrum of topics relating to traditional mole catching in the United Kingdom. The topics will encourage and promote an interest in: • History of traditional mole catching • Old trapping implements relating to mole catching • Methods once used in traditional mole catching • The mole • Its life cycle • Impacts upon the mole • The anatomy of the mole • Modern trapping implements • Use of modern implements • Current legal requirements governing traditional mole catching
