Merishia Massage for Canines

The Merishia Massage course was set up in 2004 by Nikki Routledge (Equine Bodyworker, Animal McTimoney practitioner and lecturer), as a pre-requisite for the Animal McTimoney Masters Degree course. She then developed it as a practitioner entry level course. In 2010, Jo Rose (animal musculo-skeletal therapist / McTimoney Corley animal therapist) took on the Oxfordshire based teaching, and in 2014 bought the course from Nikki. It has since been developed, with additional resources and tutorial days. The Merishia Animal Course has now been developed as a practitioner equivalent level 4 course. This is equivalent in technical difficulty and knowledge as the first year of a degree course. The Merishia Massage method incorporates aspects of Swedish, holistic and deep tissue massage, and mobilisation techniques. The aim is to equip the students with knowledge and practical skills, in order for them to work as a professional animal Merishia Massage therapist.
