This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in the safe operation of mobile workshops. It introduces trainees to the procedures for loading the workshop with due regard for safety of the vehicle and persons coming into contact with the vehicle; distribution of vehicle loads and consequences of overloading; penalty fines and prohibitions and the different method for securing different types of loads and the principles of vehicle safety. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
