Proficient Deer Stalker 1 (PDS1)

This course is more commonly known as Proficient Deer Stalker 1 (PDS1). This is a structured, informative and extensive deer stalker training course delivered in a blended style with online theory, and practical assessment in the field, and is perfect for the beginner or for anyone wishing to learn to hunt deer, and is an ideal way to make a start in the exciting world of Deer Stalking. Through video demonstrations and case studies the student will learn how to handle a rifle safely and effectively, including safe loading, marksmanship and shot placement. They will also learn about key legislation, ballistics, legal quarry, shooting seasons and equipment selection All our trainers are highly experienced professional, full-time deer managers and 'Approved Witnesses' (AW) in 'Deer Management Qualifications'. Our lead instructor Peter S Jones is a well- known and trusted expert in the industry and has over 25yrs experience hunting deer and large game in the UK, Europe and Africa. Peter is also a former Metropolitan Police Officer with extensive experience of firearms and firearms legislation.
