Remote Controlled Crane and Sling R2

This training course aims to give trainees the knowledge, understanding and basic skills required for the safe operation of remote controlled cranes, including the safe use of slinging techniques. It introduces trainees to controlling crane movements remotely, lifting and transporting loads, and positioning them safely and accurately within the workplace. Trainees will cover daily pre-use inspections, safe slinging and lifting practices, and the hazards and risks associated with remote crane operations, including load stability, communication, visibility, and working in proximity to people and other operations. The course also includes safe systems of work, correct use of lifting accessories, and compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee to instructor, and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training includes a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises.
