This foundation course is designed to help you gain a contextualised view of how modern wild deer management & stalking should integrate with the wider wildlife management process, and how your actions can benefit the environment and the creatures and plants that live in those environments. PWS have a robust belief that deer management and controlled deer stalking - carried out within the parameters of a structured, sustainable management plan - can work to the benefit of all species reliant on the same environment, and of all those with an interest in ensuring our wildlife continues to exist. The course covers: An overview of wildlife management in the UK; How land usage by both deer and humans can be of benefit to both; Ethical approaches to wild deer management as part of the wider plan; The value of biodiversity and how we measure it.
