UKRS accreditation scheme going from strength to strength
2016 proved very successful in terms of UKRS course accreditations which showed significant growth. We are delighted to report we expanded our portfolio to 277 UKRS accredited courses*, spanning a range of subject areas across the land-based sector.
One of the main aims of UKRS is to help improve training standards and safety nationally by helping our members accredit their own courses. We have seen significant support from our members who have used this service giving them peace of mind that they are meeting at least minimum standards when delivering their in-house or specialist course.
But the benefits to getting accreditation don't just lie in safety - accreditation gives our members the competitive edge. Displaying the UKRS quality kitemark on promotional materials and the fact that courses are accredited is automatically adding value to members training offers.
By achieving accreditation, our members benefit from:
- Enhanced status of training using UKRS recognition and accreditation
- Certification from a national body
- Review of your training against national/industry standards giving assurance that your training has been internally approved and quality assured by UKRS
- Working with a trusted and respected partner to build your credibility
- Add value to your training offer and is good for business
- Add to UKRS bank of courses (for shared courses only)
- Use of UKRS quality logo within your promotional materials
Over 30 of our members have used this service to get their own courses accredited with UKRS.
All courses covered
We're able to look at all manner of course types, many on the fringes of what might be considered land-based/rural. Our existing diverse customers include Canine & Feline specialists, Ambulance Services, Bee Keepers, Driver CPC suppliers and many more.
Current UKRS accredited courses range from general, industry specific or bespoke health and safety subjects to business management topics, new technology and innovation to name but a few.
Cost effective
If you are looking for cost effective accreditation and certification for your own training courses, we can help by offering a range of options to accommodate your needs. We offer two types of accreditation.
Shared Courses - £50 (amended from free of charge 1/9/17)
- Courses are shared with other members and will appear within the UKRS bank of courses.
Restricted courses - £125 (amended from £100 1/9/17)
- Courses are restricted to the use of the member who has submitted the course.
- The course will be for sole use of the member and will not appear in the UKRS bank of courses.
- A restricted course must be unique in content and not be recognised as a standard course that is already offered by other members or accrediting bodies.
