About me, I am a time served mechanical engineer and completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with CAV Lucas back in the late seventies and early eighties. Over the last four decades I have had several business’s including light haulage, motor vehicle repair and maintenance and specialist vehicle and trailer conversions, I’ve worked in the motor trade at main agents, repairing cars, vans, commercial vehicle, bus and coaches and worked for two national plant hire companies.
From an early age I have had apprentices under my wing to train and coach to enable them to gain their qualifications. More recently I have been training and coaching an older population in things like Driver’s certificate of Professional Competence. This covers, load security, loading and unloading, tachographs, driver’s hours, winching, UK driving laws and regulations including the towing of trailers both domestic and commercial. Practical and theory training covers repair and maintenance of trailers up to 3500k
