This course is designed to introduce participants to the identification and ecology of newt species in the UK. In addition, it will give an overview of the techniques used for surveying and monitoring these species. There will be a field session which will hopefully offer the opportunity to see some species up close, though this cannot be guaranteed.
The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
