This training is designed to give responders the knowledge, skills and understanding behind the safe selection and use of specialist PPE. It introduces trainees to the range specialist PPE available, identification of hazardous environments, selection and operation in appropriate PPE relating to the environment. Trainees will have different options on PPE systems to choose from depending on their role. The length of the training may vary depending on the number of PPE systems available and the trainee’s previous experience
