Safe Use of Veterinary Medicines (Vet Meds)

This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in the safe use of veterinary medicines on the farm. This course introduces the trainee to recognising common diseases in farm animals, correctly interpreting labels and instructions, accurately record keeping, and correctly and safely storing and administering veterinary medicines in accordance with health and safety, good practice and relevant legislation. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
