This training course aims to give trainees knowledge, understanding and basic skills in the accessing of trees using climbing equipment to carry out rescues in a variety of contexts. The aerial rescue includes both conscious and unconscious casualties. It introduces trainees to the hazards and risks involved with aerial operations and to comply with health and safety legislation. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
